Airbridge International Agencies Ltd has been selected as cargo GSA partner for Leisure Cargo in Austria effective 1st October 2014.

Leisure Cargo provides all carriers represented with full logistical know-how like sales, handling and road feeder service supported by a well distributed GSA network worldwide. AIA has been working with Leisure Cargo for over 10 years in the UK and EIRE market which has seen unprecedented growth which since 2011 includes the full online sales of the UK’s largest charter airline in Thomson Airways.

Established in January 2000, Leisure Cargo is the only “virtual cargo airline”. Without any own fleet but having access to the bellies of meanwhile 19 carriers Leisure Cargo is able to offer its service extremely successfully to about 300 destinations.

AIA will be responsible for handling the online flight programme of Austrian airline Nikki part of the Air Berlin group, NIKI’s fleet comprises of four Airbus A321s, 12 Airbus A320s and seven Embraer E190s. NIKI’s full integration with the Air Berlin family at the end of 2011 brought a host of financial and logistic advantages for both airlines. As part of the integration process, NIKI’s base at Vienna International Airport was designated an Air Berlin group hub, with a focus on destinations in South Eastern Europe

Aside from this online opportunity AIA Austria will also feed gateways in Germany, Spain , Holland, Belgium and UK for Leisure client airlines of Air Berlin, Air Europa, Jet Air Fly, Arkefly , Condor and Thomson Airways. With Nikki’s connection to Air Berlin it provides us with fantastic opportunities for sales using Air Berlin’s wide body network into the USA, Caribbean, and the Asia Pacific feeding German gateways via our daily flights with Nikki and also for larger shipments our daily road feeder services.

We are looking forward to the challenges ahead and further growth between AIA and the Leisure Cargo Group.
